Noel McLeary Self Titled

Noel McLeary’s Self Titled EP
Many up and coming artists dream of having an opportunity to work with a Dove award winning producer, A-list musicians, and with well-known and respected songwriters for their upcoming album. For Noel McLeary, it wasn’t a dream, it was a reality when she partnered with the likes of Eric Copeland, Danny Duncan, Dove Award- winning producer, Rusty Varenkamp, Alan Powell from Anthem lights and more for her Can’t Escape Your Love and self titled EP.

Fusing a mix of rock, pop, and dance, Noel showcases her ability to shine on a variety of levels. At first listen you can’t help but notice the strength and power of her vocals. Noel puts her heart and soul into each note and truly believes wholeheartedly in the words she sings.

Track one, “(It’s A) Beautiful Thing” co-written by Rachel Lampa, David Mullen and Jerry Stober, is a fun dance track that brings you back to the 90’s, when pop stars like Britney and Christina were topping the charts. The grove of the song is terribly infections and if you’re not careful, you’ll quickly find yourself bobbing your head along to the song. “Emptied,” brings a more contemporary pop rock feel as she shares her need for God’s help and strength. By far my favorite song from the CD has to be “Get on Up.” Not only does it show off Noel’s vocal range, but it fuses a wonderful blend of rock and dance to create a bold challenge to believers to be bold and share your faith with the world. “Innocence” is an incredibly personal lyrical ballad where she wrestles with her faith and returning to her first love. “Nothing Left,” closes the CD strong with another powerful rock driven track about when everything is stripped away, there’s nothing left but God.

Can't Escape Your Love EP

Can’t Escape Your Love EP
Fast forward six years from the release of her self-titled CD, and you get a brand new sound and feel from Noel McLeary. Though she stays true to her musical style, Noel really steps out as a songwriter and musician with a tremendous amount of self-evaluation and honesty in the lyrics she brings on this new project. “Can’t Escape Your Love” and “I’m Still Yours” were birthed after Noel went through a terribly painful broken engagement. Through this time, she realized that no matter what happens in life, no matter how many people may hurt your or leave you, God’s love, provision, and protection will always remain. “Whatever it takes”, continues lyrically on the journey of drawing closer to God no matter the cost.

Overall, both EP’s are rock solid. Vocally, musically, and lyrically everything is all there. Noel is a very talented singer and musician and I truly believe that in a few years, Noel McLeary will be the next BIG THING in the Christian Music community. I can’t wait for the full length project to come out. If you’re a fan of artists like: Rachael Lampa, Stacie Orrico, Britt Nicole, Holly Starr, or Marlene Brehm, you’ll absolutely love Noel McLeary.
