Eddy Mann Who We AreBeing a worship leader is not an occupation, it’s a daily lifestyle. It takes a special person to live in an act of worship in all aspects of their life. This is truly the case for Eddy Mann. Though, he is an ordinary family man with every day responsibilities, Eddy shared how his personal relationship with God is one based on the simplest of ideas… modeling Jesus. “Well I think what we do on Sunday morning should just be an outgrowth of what we do every day. The Bible tells us that all we say and do, all day, every day, should be an act of worship,” Shared Mann when asked what his definition of true worship is.

With his sixth album released entitled, Who We Are, this concept can be clearly seen. “Who We Are” is a poetic and melodic collection of roots, folk/rock songs that are so intimate and heartfelt, as you listen, it’s as if you’re sitting next to him as he performs. Coming from a concept of faith, each song’s intent was an attempt to have the listener have an album that would allow them to experience a quiet, personal and spiritual time of worship.

Right from the opening track “Beautiful Day”, the simplistic music and message of giving God the praise He deserves as we join in worship with creation, penetrates the soul in such a pure and amazing way, you’re left being challenged and edified in your spiritual walk and ultimately wanting more. Some other highlights from the album include the songs: “My Grateful Heart,” a song that shares Eddie’s gratefulness to God for all He’s done and how he gives that thankfulness back to God in his daily life; “We Are The Body of Christ,” a song which is a strong challenge to believers that we have an obligation given to us by God to take action to impact the world around us for the kingdom; ““Through His Life” a song that shares that we find the path of God through following the example of the life of Jesus and finally, “Christ Will Come Again,” which is a song that describes Mann’s joy and longing for the return of Christ.

Overall, this album lives up to everything you would expect from Eddy Mann. Beautifully arranged music with a bold message of faith, hope and love that is transparent through the life he lives each day. A must have for any worship enthusiast, worship pastor or anyone wanting to be challenged to grow and mature in their walk with God.
